Our Process

I love to hunt down beautiful Antique and Vintage pieces from all over the globe for our customers. If there is something in particular you are looking for, feel free to reach out and let us know. I can keep it in mind during our hunts.

It should be noted that our products are pre-owned and as such may display some general wear including scratches to metals, nicks and nibbles to gemstones etc. We endeavour to always accurately depict and describe the condition of and any additional damage to our items. Please examine all images as they also form part of the description.

I am not a professional jeweller or gemologist (yet!). However I am currently studying for a Diploma of Gemmology with the GIA. When needed we utilise the services of our local trusted Jeweller and Gemologist.

When examining our new pieces I use the following instruments to test our items.

  • Loupe - always our first port of call to examine gemstones and their mounts.
  • Kee Gold Tester - this is a surface level test we use to determine gold purity on items that are not hallmarked.
  • Presidium Gem Tester II - this tool tests the thermo-conductivity of gemstones to determine their type.
  • Other tools often used include a microscope, refractometer, dichroscope, spectroscope, and various gemological filters.

I make every effort to provide an accurate representation of our products and services in our online stores. However, I am only human and far from perfect. If you receive an item and it is not as described please get in touch.

Please note that colours or product appearance may differ from how they may appear on your screen due to the type of device you use to access the store and your device settings and configuration.
