A beautiful Limoges enamel ring featuring a female profile. Signed on the back L.Clément Limoges, and with an eagle head hallmark to the band.
Limoges is a French region famous for their porcelain and enamel works. Limoges white enamel is an opalescent powdered enamel that is worked in many layers and multiple firings. Gold or silver foil is added with some layers which produces the incredible shimmer that these pieces often have.
This shimmery glow can be seen in the yellows and blues of the hat and clothing portrayed in this stunning ring.
Mounted in a decorative 18ct gold bezel, this ring is not only beautiful but very comfortable to wear.
This ring weighs 2.25 grams and is sized approx P or US 7.75. The bezel is approx 16 x 12mm.The ring does have some scratches commensurate with age.
