Antique Diamond Pendant

Incredibly pretty closed-back Diamond pendant set in warm 18ct gold. The diamond is rose-cut and set on foil as was popular during the 16th to mid 19th century, particularly the Georgian period. The pendant measures 20.65 x 10.86 x 5.97 mm.The pendant hangs from a 8.15 mm diameter gold split ring.

• Metal - 18ct Gold
• Gemstones - One foil-backed, rose cut Diamond measuring approx. 7 x 6 mm. The pendant features a deep well for the diamond so I am unsure if this is a traditionally flat bottomed rose cut or a double cut.
• Item Weight - 1.86 grams
• Size - approx. 27 x 11 mm. 
• Hallmarks - Dutch 750 mark indicating 18ct gold
  
• Condition - The mounting is in excellent condition. The diamond is bright and well cut. Under close inspection there appears to be a chip to the side of the diamond, just at the edge of the mounting. Please see photos for details.
